The wood used in handcrafting
this high quality rustic decor log furniture is stacked in levels with spacers
and banded to allow air circulation and control warping and
twisting as much as possible. Round stock for log furniture is peeled then air
dried naturally for 2 to 3 weeks to attain only a 6% moisture
content. Flat stock is kiln dried for 1 to 2 weeks. Almost every
surface and edge of this cabin decor log furniture is sanded.
Beveling also helps create smooth surfaces and splinter free
edges. Coated yellow zinc hardware is used for strength. This
northern white cedar log furniture boasts strength and longevity
and is solid cedar wood inside and out. No particle or
pressboard is used on this log furniture. Rustic log
furniture goes well with rustic cabin decor, but the clean look of our northern white cedar log
cabin furniture easily lends itself to contemporary log home
decor as well. |
