Limited Edition, Hand Painted, Miniature Flying Pheasant wall mount

NEW RELEASE!

This stunning Flying Pheasant wall mount will be sure to please the most discriminating collector.
Ring-necked Pheasants (Phasianus colchicus) are large game birds. Though the sexes differ in plumage and size, both have stout yellowish, chicken-like bills; short legs; short, rounded wings; and long tail feathers. The Ring-necked Pheasant was introduced into North America from Asia and is established over much of the continent, especially in agricultural lands. It has been designated as South Dakota’s state bird. It is a distinctive and colorful species and is a popular game bird. The ring-neck pheasant is well adapted for life on the ground and will take to flight only when there is no other means of escape. Powerful leg muscles enable this beautiful game bird to swiftly retreat to cover, taking 18 to 24-inch strides. When threatened, a pheasant will burst into flight
